IronHorse Holiday Bonfire

Despite frigid single-digit temps, friends and families gathered in IronHorse to celebrate the holidays. Thanks to the handiwork of Mark Nyman and Cameron Craig, the bonfire was big, bright and toasty! The Crook County High School Jazz Choir braved the cold air and graced our ears with beautiful holiday melodies as we sipped hot chocolate and munched on snowman-shaped cookies.

One of the highlights was being "discovered" by the Prineville Police Dept. who apparently didn't get word of our approved blaze. One look at our permit and a chat with the Fire Department and they were on their way. Apparently you could see the blaze from the grade coming into town. Talk about impressive!

The Fire Department gave kiddos of all ages tours of their truck in all its flashing glory.

Thanks to our residents, owners, builders and friends who came to celebrate with us. We hope this will be the begining of a great tradition at IronHorse (with a little more cooperation from Mother Nature next time!).

Happy Holidays!

Christmas in Central Oregon

If you're adventourous or just looking for the true Christmas tree experience, then Cental Oregon is the place for you. "Christmas trees are in our backyard," states Kevin Gaboury, contributor to Prineville's own Central Oregonian. ABC news affiliate, KOHD News, also agrees that cutting down your own Christmas tree when you live in Oregon, is really - just what you do!
